The construction site was picked so as to ensure a strong interaction between the house and the terrain, by trying to make the most of the existent topography. The house was divided in two main bodies, joined by a smaller one. The three of them, together, draw a similar shape to a U, with a garden and a water mirror. There is a strong visual relationship between the inside and the outside, with patios and gardens framed by concrete coverings.
The house’s materials tried to bring out the articulation between the architectural volumes as well as their basic character. On the inside, the resource to a reduced range of materials had the same objective: highlighting the set’s essential character. The same materials were used on the outside, reinforcing the spaces’ continuity.
